In 2019, a high-net-worth individual was seeking innovative alternatives to their existing Cromaglass wastewater treatment system and the ultrafiltration membrane bioreactor technology provided by Ecohesion was the ideal answer. With Ecohesion driving the solution, the tertiary treatment technology and fully automated system installed, combined the benefits of a small footprint and high discharge quality with effluent concentrations less than 5 mg/L BOD5
Immediate improvements to the existing water reclamation plant featured:
● A substantial increase in influent storage capacity providing resilience to changes in influent quality.
● 4m3 aerobic tank operating at 4 times the pollutant reducing capacity of the old system.
● The MBR technology runs at a biological concentration of 2 to 4 times the strength of the pre-existing Cromaglass system resulting in more thorough biological degradation during high occupancy season.
This simple yet effective technology resulted in a robust, versatile, and ultra-compact wastewater treatment system for this west coast villa much to the client’s satisfaction. Weekly process testing along with physical and remote monitoring by Ecohesion further guarantees a consistently high performing system.
