PARTNERING WITH COCA COLA ACROSS THE REGION
Coca-Cola’s Barbados Bottling Company (BBC) is at the forefront as one of the first manufacturers in Barbados to take environmental stewardship to international gold standard level.
Their treatment plant, set up in 2010, processes water from their bottling operations including acidic and alkaline cleaning solutions used to sterilize their equipment; a practice which must comply with strict international food safety standards.
The collaboration of Ecohesion and the BBC has led to the implementation of upgrades to improve the efficiency of the plant; both its maintenance and its ability to meet the strict wastewater emission requirements.
The successful operation of Barbados Bottling Co.’s wastewater plant since Ecohesion’s inception has led to winning contracts to support and operate Coca-Cola wastewater plants in Grenada and Trinidad.
